Total steps show correctly everywhere except Friends List.

There seems to be a bug with the friends leaderboard at the moment. Keep an eye on the following thread which has the latest updates from fitbit: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Friends-leaderboard-not-updating-updating-slowly/m-p/2828956...
