Can anyone help, if I have done a run, activated my GPS on my surge and synced. How do I see a map of my route on the dashboard of my computer. Im completely stuck. Nicola

Hi, I am having the same issue. I tracked a walk this morning, once I had finished I could see the map with the mile markers, pace and split time. Now I can't see it on my dashboard. I have gone into my exercise tile and click the walk, but it only shows impact and calories burned. I'm wondering if this has been fixed yet as it seems to have been a problem for a long time. I have the Alta and am using an Android device. Thank you in advance.

Are you looking for the map on your Fitbit mobile app or laptop computer?

The mobile app.  It's a known issue, but disappointing it has been known about for over a year and not fixed 😞

Okay I have a galaxy 7 Android phone and use the Fitbit mobile app for my
Charge 2 HR. First click and open the Fitbit mobile app, then click on the
"weekly exercise" tile with the picture of a stick figure running. Once you
click on the "weekly exercise" it will show all the events you exercised in
from workout, run or walk. You must select and run or walk activity on your
Fitbit prior to doing it so it creates the map. Also click on the business
card symbol in the upper right hand corner of the app to access the account
settings. You will see the word "Account" at the top of the screen, scroll
to the bottom to advance settings and click on it. In advance settings
select "Automatic location" this will allow the app to use the phone's
Google map GPS to show where you went. On the same screen scroll down to "
Stride Length" and select "Set automatically". From there hit the back
button on your phone to get back to the main Fitbit app screen. I will send
you screen shots of what each screen will look like to make it easier to
follow along.

Hi,

Thanks for trying to help.

Since the Alta HR has no physical buttons, it's not possible to start an
activity on the Fitbit. I do manually start activities in the phone app,
and I'd set automatic location a long time ago.

None of this makes it work to generate maps, as Fitbit has confirmed is a
known issue.

Cheers

Sorry that I couldn't help. I didn't know the Alta had no buttons. Hope
Fitbit fixes this soon or they're trying to get you to buy a more expensive
Fitbit, LOL

I have done what was suggested in this response and I am still not finding my map of a tracked walk for today. Any other advice?

What type off Fitbit do you have and are you using the mobile app?

Flex 2 and both the app and desktop computer. I have done all things posted and can see where they are talking about on my dashboards on the individual devices, but there is simply not a map there. When I finished my walk, my phone (app) showed a screen that said map at the top but the screen was blank, I was wondering if my settings were right or maybe it is a compatability issue. My phone did track me, throughout the walk I could see my place, distance, and time.

That fix worked great thanks!  Doesn't get old data back but it is now tracking properly.
