How do I reconnect pedometer?

I use Fitbit on an Android phone. Yesterday, I managed to disconnect the pedometer from the app (I presume the phone has a pedometer) and "steps" no longer shows up on the dashboard. In trying to fix that, I also got rid of "calories". I've tried everything to restore them but nothing seems to work, including an app reinstall. I have managed to restore my phone's permissions to Fitbit, but there's still no change on the dashboard: no steps and no calories. 

 

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. Out of nowhere, an "edit" button appeared on phone's dashboard and I re-added steps, calories and km.
