How does the calorie goal work?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have mine set for a target of 2lbs/week or a deficit of 1000 calories a day

When I view my dashborad, it says I've eaten 1,350 some calories and burnt just under 2,600 calories

It then tells me I need to eat another 1400 calories to hit my goal.

How does that work? That is not a deficit at all???

The calories left predicts how many calories you will eat by the end of the day. So, it's predicting you will burn that additional calories due to exercise and BMR burn. If you don't think you'll be burning that much, don't worry about eating up to that level. Even if you are, I'd suggest listening to your nbody and not eating if you don't feel hungry.

it's like that everyday tho, even by bed time, for 2wks now

i changed the settings to sedentary and it took away 500 cals from my "needed" total.

i have yet to get a green in that section because of it =/

i just dont get how it is suposed to help if my target in is my output everyday.

it seems like maybe i'm missing a setting or something. i'm going to keep going off my MFP for calorie stuff i guess

It almost sounds like it's not factoring in your weight loss goal. That's the only other thing I can suggest to check.
