How to export data with Google? Mine doesn't look like the old Fitbit one...

Hello,

I think I saw that someone had posted a "how-to" on this a month ago or so, but can't find it.  When I try to export, it doesn't allow me to choose the last month (or any specific dates), and it takes forever and never comes out.

It's so frustrating, and it's been a few months since I've extracted it.  And I don't see how to return to the Fitbit method (eg, remove the Google part of the export).

Thanks!  Erich

Hello @Erich777. It's good to see you participating in the community.

Thank you for providing the details about this situation with the dashboard.

Let me know please if you have followed these steps:

  • Use a different browser
  • Use a different device ( computer and iPad )
  • Clear the cache and cookies

Then try again to export your data on the Fitbit app. For more information, see this help article.

Thank you for that.  I tried with MS Edge, and am getting the same result.

Firstly, Excel not an option.

Second, can't select any time frame, or which items (food, exercise, sleep, for example).

I selected 6 x 2 months this time, but have no idea what the export will look like.  I haven't seen one that I've submitted yet.

"Fitbit" is like one of 50 items in Google download to use... they have not incorporated Fitbit well, obviously.

If getting my data is impossible, I'll have to switch watches.

Surely this is working for someone?? How, then?

Thanks again, Erich

Why won't it allow us to switch back to Fitbit dashboard interface to do these things??

Oh wait, just got the download: a bunch of .json files.... WTH???

No option to choose excel... what a laugh.
