Incorrect Steps in dashboard

I purchased an Ionic last week and have since had two days where the dashboard and daily log for steps have registered either 10k or 5.5k extra steps.  However if I go to the hourly log display it shows the correct steps there.

 

Has anyone else come across this?  Not sure if its related to the Ionic, but I never had the issue with my One.

Same issue yesterday  have 6.2K steps in the hourly log, but the dashboard displays 10.2k steps.

Can someone with Fitbit tell me what the heck is going on?  Is this an issue with the Ionic or the App?
