My alta says I need to reset but the app isn't syncing

I accidentally let my Fitbit alta go flat on Tuesday morning.  I didn't even notice after I charged it overnight on Tuesdsy that it said fitbit.com/setup when I tried to sync Thursday.  Will I need to delete & lose all my data?

Hi @NicolelT you really shouldn't overcharge your Alta. A few hours is all it would need to go from flat to full. Restarting it is similar to rebooting your phone and no data is lost. If your battery was flat, it may not have detected the steps you took. It seems your Fitbit lost being paired, so you might need to set it up again as a new device on an existing account. You can also manually add any missing activity if needed.
