I haven't been able to find an answer so hopefully someone can help... 

A friend gave me her old fitbit Alta. I've never had a fitbit before and thus made a brand new account. I charged and synced the fitbit no problem, but my account is showing badges and steps going back months that I obviously have not earned. Can i get rid of this old data so my account is accurate?

Thanks for bringing this up. 

 

Unfortunately it is not possible to delete the badges like that. It could be that your friend was not using the Fitbit and when you paired your Fitbit it grabbed some of the information that was on it and put that towards your account. You could, potentially, delete your account and then start from scratch once again.
