Surge changed to 24hr time by itself. can't change back to 12 hour

My Surge changed to 24hour time so I went on my Macbook Pro and it had changed to 24 hour time also. I changed it back to 12 hour time and go submit and at the top of the page I get this 

"error happened when saving profile". I have restarted my computor and it still does the same thing. I cant figure out what version i am running. If I delete the program off my Mac and re install will I lose all my badges,times, sleeping etc.

That error seems to be affected a number (but not all) users at the moment. I believe fitbit are aware so we just need to wait until it's fixed/

Thank you very much Steve. Had me kinda worried. Was it my Surge or my Mac the problem. Didn't want it to be a virus in my Mac.
