What does it mean when the meter is under the goal, does that mean I have to eat more? to stay in the calorie deficit?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @goalsbaby.

Thanks for your question.

Like you mentioned, when the meter is under the goal, you should eat more to reach your goal. If you've reached your goal (green) but continue doing more exercise, the meter will again point under the goal (yellow) and you'll be allowed to eat more.

A calorie deficit is when you burn more calories than you consume in a day. When you set a weight-loss goal in the Fitbit app, your daily calorie deficit target is determined by the level of intensity you choose for your food plan.
