Charged fitbit dies next day

I charged my fitbit, my app even says 85% but it's dead! Happened to my twice in the past 2 weeks and I don't notice until later in the day when it won't sync! Any ideas?

How old is your Fitbit?

As for the battery level on your app, it will only show your battery level as of your last sync, so you need to sync it often if you want an accurate battery level indicator.

It is a few years old.

I last synced the night before. It is odd that after I let it charge for a long time, the next day it is dead. No notification battery is low either.
