I have a flex two. When I first got it several months ago when I charged it for 1 to 2 hours 4 white lights and 1 green light would signal it was fully charged. Now no matter how long I leave it plugged in only 4 white lights appear. No matter how long I let it charge, the greenlight never turns on. I have tried to reset it with the button on the back still no luck. Is it necessary for the green light to come on to show it is fully charged?

The light might be faulty rather than the charging process, so yes it might be fully charged. What does the app tell you? I know the app only approximates but it will give you an idea. Try thee restarts in a row to make sure and see if that wakes up the green light. If it is a problem for you then contact support and it might be replaceable under warantee.

The four white lights indicate it is fully charged. The other coloured lights indicate other things: green = goal achieved; blue = texts/calls; red = low battery warning; yellow = silent alarm; and magenta = reminder to move.

Fitbit Flex 2, shown below, has five indicator lights that flash various patterns depending on what the tracker is doing. One light changes color while the other four are always white.

The image below shows a summary of all the light patterns you'll see on your Flex 2
