Hi all, I just bought my first Fitbit- Flex2. Is it safe to use this in the sauna/steam room or hot tub?

Thanks for your reply @Impudent1! The bowl of rice is a great idea too. Give it a try after maybe 2 days and then put it to charge and perform the restart. I hope that helps and you get back on track. 😉

Keep me posted!

Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

@HeydyF, 2.5 days in rice, a full charge, and a restart seems to have brought it back to life!

No more sauna or hot tub for my Flex 2.. Now the question is, is it safe to take it into the pool again? Hmm..

Thanks for the update @Impudent1! Sounds awesome that your Flex 2 has came to life! Wojoo. 😄 Well, now I would't suggest you to wear it in the sauna or hot tub again, but there won't be no trouble if you wear under the water. The Flex 2 was designed to be used inside the water, specifically to swim. This is it's strength.

I was just reading your post and thought I would reply. I use my Versa 2 swimming, have been over a year. On vaca this past weekend and wore it in a hot tub, not thinking it would have consequences.  But quit working,  in a bag of rice now. Tried to restart, phone does not recognize. I feel like it's done for. So any ot9her suggestions before I buy another one?

Hi, @JBDRN , keep it in the rice for a couple of days.  Don’t be tempted to plug it in again until it has had an opportunity to dry out completely.

If it really is done for, as you suspect (hopefully not!) be sure to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support before purchasing a new device - they may be able to help...

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
