How to restore fitbit connect icon to my iMac menu bar?

I inadvertently removed the fitbit connect icon from my iMac menu bar. Fitbit Connect is still working, but I lack that convenient way to access it. How do I restore it?

It's great to have you here @jimpal! Just follow these simple steps to get the Fitbit Connect icon in your iMac menu bar: 

1. Search for "Fitbit Connect" in Spotlight. 
2. Select the Application Fitbit Connect.

If it's still not there, this may be because it's not install. Just follow this procedure to get it back.

Thanks for your help. Actually your solution didn’t work. Could not find any sign of FitbitmConnect using Spotlight on my iMac and latest system. Instead I downloaded the program from your sight, including uninstall then install. That worked. Thanks for checking.

I also need help with this!  FitBit app is installed.  I can get there from Safari, but I want it back on the menu bar for easy access.

This is totally useless information from the moderator. This problem is an ongoing issue with Fitbit and the remedy is to discard the existing Fitbit application and to do a clean install. This problem is an ongling one with the software and occurs on average about once a month. The Fitbit application can be accessed through a saved link in Bookmarks.

Agree! The phone support rep at FitBit took me through the reinstall.
