My Flex 2 is not detecting exercise properly - everything is recorded as “GENERIC TRAINING”

My Fitbit Flex 2 isn’t automatically detecting my exercise activities correctly anymore as of the last week or so.  The exercise settings are set to automatically detect walks, runs, sports, outdoor bike, etc if they are at least 15 minute long sessions.  However recently all my exercise sessions that are auto-detected are classified as “GENERIC TRAINING-2023-MM-DD” with the date.  If I go to recategorize the exercise, say as “tennis” or “walk”, I lose all my steps for that exercise.  And for that “GENERIC TRAINING”, it doesn’t appear to track my steps properly throughout the duration of the activity as the step graph just shows a flat line for the duration of the activity.  It shows the total steps for the activity but I can’t see the detailed step graph that normally goes up and down for the exercise duration.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi, @Dom-i , I have seen that “generic exercise” issue once before.  It is obviously some sort of glitch and is unlikely to be related to your individual Fitbit.  (But just in case it won’t hurt to give your Fitbit a restart ).  I would recommend deleting your app and re-downloading it, but do make sure you know your email address and password so you can log back in again.
