No "low-battery" warning on Flex 2

I've had my Flex 2 for over a year, and it has yet to issue a warning for a low-battery situation; the only "warning" is when I try to sync it via iPhone app and it never syncs.  Then I tap it a couple of times and all lights remain blank.  Seems like there ought to be some sort of indication when the device gets fairly low on a charge.  Anyone have any ideas?  Perhaps the designers should take note of this problem?

The low battery warning will normally either come from your phone (if you sync the Flex when the battery is low enough) or via a flashing red light on the Flex itself when tapping it in the low battery state so all of the features you’re looking for exist in the product. I can’t offer a reason why you haven’t hit either of these yet.

Thank you for your reply!  If I understand you, you're saying that the iOS app will never just send out a low-battery warning unless I have just synced the Fitbit?  But I do sync it, on average twice a day, and no such warning has ever appeared.  As for the flashing red light on the device itself--I find it to be a poor warning at best; the few times it has  come on the device "died" within seconds of the illumination of the light.

Yes, the red light is very much the death knell for the battery.

Syncing twice a day, I’d have thought you’d get a low battery warning just because I can get a day out of a low battery tracker generally. I stretched it with the ionic yesterday and it actually went flat on me but I did get the warning the night before.

I set my alerts on my phone and it used to work all of the time. However if I miss it, it doesn’t remind me. I’m not really looking at my Fitbit 24/7 or my notifications. Once in awhile I would receive an email. Would be nice if they had an alert by text feature. I have been having other issues with mine lately and forgot to sync the last two days. I JUST charged it and the app said it was full, yet it hasn’t recorded data for two days and the battery was totally dead as a door nail tonight. Really annoyed.
