Resetting avg. steps because of inactive use

I used to use my fitbit two years ago. I lost my Fitbit and never bothered to buy a new one. Recently I got a new Fitbit and have a horrible daily average of 86 steps per day now. Anyway I can reset my daily average?

Sure.  Use it for a week and get more than 86 steps a day.  You will see it increasing every day.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
