I have been using my flex for months now but noticed recently that it's not showing the mapped routes I walk. How do I get this back?

Mine sorted out but I have to leave it open a few minutes after finishing a hike or walk then back out close it then go back in to look. Stand on my head put my leg in the air wave my arm.. it's not the way it used to be but I make it work.

I am also having issues with my map showing up on my phone after a walk which usually is about 2 miles or more. I am using the Fitbit Charge 3. Does the time and mileage have anything to do with the mapping of my walk? Some parks I go to and it will appear on my phone and others it just shows my overall stats. I have an iPhone 8+, currently using iOS 12.1.4 (current). It almost seems the less I walk my route will appear when I go back into my Fitbit app and click on the weekly exercise icon. I have rebooted my phone but that hasn’t solved the problem. The only other thing left do is uninstall the Fitbit app which I really don’t want to do. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? Thanks.

It only takes a few minutes to uninstall and reinstall. You won’t lose any of your data.

Hello @DPLORBLE, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! Thank you for the troubleshooting steps you have already performed. 😉 In this case I don't recommend that you delete the app. Please take a look at this article:Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device? There you'll find other useful tips that you can try.
You also mentioned that this situation tends not to happen with shorter routes. Although the length shouldn't affect GPS tracking, the longer the walk, the more it'll take to be synchronized with the app.
Lastly I would also appreciate, if you could answer the following questions, so I can further investigate:
- What phone model does you dad have?
- Have you checked if your Fitbit App is up to date?
- Have you tried logging out and then log back in?
@LBD1975 nice to hear from you again. Thank you for your help.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!

I could not get my maps back. What had happened was, I was not paying attention when I started my runs and the connection was not made with my Fitbit tracker and 3G/4G. So....it did not register the trail or route I took. As long as I wait for the connection to be made I get the routes, otherwise just the time and distance. If you are getting the connected icon (before runs) and it's still not showing maps, and you've tried re-syncing, definitely contact Fitbit. Hope this helps!
