Want to check if Fitbit flex pebble work before buying a replacement band

I have a fitbit flex which I've not used for ages, so wanted to check if it works before I order a band for it.

It charges. I was able to pair it to my phone but can't remember if the taps etc. should work outside of the band or not. currently it doesn't show any light if its outside of the charger.

It doesn't sync outside of the charger. Does it need to be in a band before I can verify any of this? Can I simulate it being in the band?

Hi @apurvashukla   quite a few people would just tuck the Flex pebble into their pocket or down their sock in order to count the steps, so you should be able to check to see if it's registering your steps. In case you need it, click to see the Flex user manual and related articles. Let us know what happens.

After charging where the flex bit shows all 5 lights, once off the charger it’s practically dead. Tapping it doesn’t do anything. Have kept it with me most of the day. While not on charger, doesn’t sync either.

Evening I put it on charger to sync and didn’t record any steps on the app.

Manual asks you to put it in the band before using but doesn’t mention anything when not in band

I had a Flex and you can still use it when it's not in the band. You try a restart of the Flex?

Restart directions - This only works with authentic Fitbit charger

Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger

Remove the pebble from the band and insert it into the charging cable

Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the back of the charger

Press on the pinhole for 3-4 seconds

Take your tracker out of the charger and insert it back into the band.
