12 Days of Fitness

OK, Fitbitters, lets close out 2018 with a 12 Days of Fitness Challenge.  

 

Every Day from December 13 to 23 I will post a new exercise (all stolen from the challenge of the same name run by my gym).  Start with Day 1 and complete the exercise.  On subsequent days, complete that day's exercise as well as all previous days exercises, just like the song

 

If you find this after December 13 just do a few multiple days (day 1 and day 2 or more on your first day for example) until you catch up, or just complete it after Christmas.

On the 1st Day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

 

1 Minute Total of Russian Twists.  Oh this challenge is going to be sooo easy, right?  ; -)

 

(To the twists a little harder hold your arms out straight.  Harder still, hold an exercise ball or a weight plate).

On the 2nd Day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

 

1 Minute Total of Russian Twists.  

2 Minutes Total of Plank Pushups 

On these, I alternated the pattern of which arm went up and down -- left side and then right side.  I also held the up and down positions for about 10 seconds each before moving from one to the other.  If you cannot do 2 minutes in single go, try to do chunks of 30 seconds or a minute with rest in between.  The exercise is easier if you move feet apart and easier still if you put your knees down.

 

@NellyG  - Time travel is so confusing.  🙂

Going forward, I will plan to post my 'next day' in the evening so that you will see it the same day as the listed date.  So look for the next post/exercise in about 10 or 12 hours.

So I did Wall Pushups

3 Minutes Total of Bodyweight Squats or Wall Squats.  (If you can't do them straight through break it up in chunks).

4 Minutes Total of Jumping Jacks(At 60 jacks/min that's 240 jumping jacks ... YIKES!  My 'true love' is starting to sound kind of mean ...)

2 Minutes Total of Plank Pushups 

3 Minutes Total of Bodyweight Squats or Wall Squats.  

4 Minutes Total of Jumping Jacks 

Reverse Lunges. ... Just 5 reps for each leg, not 5 minutes thank goodness 😉

On the 6th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

 

1 Minute Total of Russian Twists.  

2 Minutes Total of Plank Pushups 

3 Minutes Total of Bodyweight Squats or Wall Squats.  

4 Minutes Total of Jumping Jacks 

Reverse Lunges. 

6 V-Passes

 

After 10 minutes for the first 4 exercises, a few lunges and v-passes almost feels like taking a nap

@WendyB -- Jumping jacks is one of the exercises I do every day, but only 30 of 'em, not 4 minutes worth (maybe I should 'jack' slower LOL) ... I am thankful that we've gotten to the part of the challenge where we just count repetition instead of minutes!

Crikey, I have been a big failure at this! I have had swollen, sore, itchy eyes and didnt do anything much for three days as I couldnt concentrate on anything.

I'll  try to get back tomit tomorrow!
