I can see that there is already confusion regarding active minutes vs manually logged exercise minutes. I've read the faq and help section on active minutes as well as other users questions and I'm still a bit lost.
My problem is that my active minutes disappear (go down to zero) when I log my exercise. For example today I went for a short hike. I got 47 active minutes from this activity. I am able to successfully and retroactively add this time frame as exercise, but when I do so my active minutes disappear.
I was a bit suspicious of the active minutes already when I got zero active minutes despite a 30 min run at the gym yesterday. My HR was continually in the in the 160-170s so I'm sure it should count as "active."
Is this a software bug or am I missing something?
@Suzieq84 When you log your exercise with a manual activity there is a good chance it will average out your calorie burn below the Active minutes criteria. A manual activity doesn't know your speed effort variation for each minute as your Tracker does. What Tracker are you using ?
I have seen this happen many times and you should analyse your Workout first before applying a manual activity.
An Active Minute starts at 3 times your sleeping/resting calorie burn/minute and in my case it's 3 calories/minute. Also you need 10 continuous minutes at the minimum level to start recording active minutes. See this link
Because you logged your activity you should click on the small stopwatch next to the description and analyse the calories.
