I'm new to Fitbit and really like it. I used to run ultramarathons, but can't any more due to three herniated discs. I'd really like to find some videos that would allow me to engage in relatively intense exercise (notching a bunch of steps, of course!) without putting undue pressure on my back. I'm in no pain, and haven't been for some time, but I just can't take a chance and subject myself to hours of non-stop pounding like I used to. I appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

Leslie Sansone walk away the pound videos are great. Some of her videos are up on youtube. Go take a look to see if it's something you can do with your injury. The great thing about her videos is you can modify it and just walk in place if it's something you can't do.

Hey Twi! Many thanks for that input! I will check out YouTube and see if Leslie is what I'm looking for. I love the Fitbit approach and have already found that it gives me motivation, even if it's not the running regimen I used to have. Hope all is well with your routine as well! Thanks again! Tom

Leslie is very mild so might not be what you're looking for.
Maybe check out some kickboxing type workouts? Collagevideo.com and videofitness.com have tons of info.

If you have an ipad or iphone you migth check the 7 minute workout app by Johnson & Johnson. It's free and well done. Not sure about your back, it's basically calisthenics.
