Hi vtp, congrats, you got the right Fitbit for losing weight. If you would like some kind word of advice I would suggest keeping track of your diet and what you eat everyday by using the Food Log on your dashboard and aim for the 10k steps every day. You maybe able to rattle off 5-6k easy during your normal day but would suggest you top this up with a 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning or evening when you would normally veg-out in front of the telly.
I've been doing this for the last 6 weeks and the fat is slowly dropping of (about 1lb per week), Not much, but its body fat, not water or other essential stuff.

Look at the groups section of your dashboard. Then go to search...your age, gender, interests, orientation, location, maybe even your job and there is probably a group for it. Join some groups and you'll start to connect to people that catch your interest.
