Is it ok to wear my fit bit in the pool? About an hour at a time?

You can swim with the flex. I do all the time. I only wish that when I log in my laps that I would get more credit on my dashboard than I do for the time spent

I wouldn't--just to be safe. I read different things from posters--some saying it's fine--a couple saying that their FitBits were ruined as a result of swimming with them. I know the website says they can be submerged up to 10 meters, but why take a chance. Besides, it won't do any good to use it while swimming, as it is desinged to track steps. I swim laps, and simply manually log the activity. Through the dashboard, you can manually log activities that the tracker isn't designed for, such as swimming, cycling, etc. Then, the calories burned swimming, etc., will show up in your daily calories burned on you dashboard. You just have to manually enter swimming. It's a little bit of extra work, but to me, it's worth not risking damaging my FitBit in the pool. I know other users disagree with me. Just my two cents.

The Fitbit Flex is only water resistant, not water proof. I would not swim with it.
