I've decided to start doing my Cardio first thing in the morning at 5 am. since I get up at 5:30 am anyway, today was my first day and it was TOUGH! I've decided to do this because I do intermittent fasting and I break my fast at 2 pm. I've read that working out during your fasted period is more beneficial. I felt great during the day, I plan on doing my weight training once I get home at 5 pm.
Questions is... anyone else doing the same or something similar? if So, any tips on staying focus and being consistent?

I can't add anything regarding fasting and activity, but I think staying focused is part of everyone's struggle when it comes to doing something that somedays seems like a herculean effort. For me on the days I don't want to leave the comfort of my couch I focus on why I am doing it in the first place. my focus is how I feel and how I look. in order for me to continue feeling great and looking good I need to move to burn through some calories. so I get up and go burn them. it beats feeling bloated and unhealthy...

I've heard good things about cardio first thing in the AM.
You will want to monitor your energy levels after the workout. You're looking at about 8 more hours after that workout before getting any calories for the day. And then a weights workout 3 hours after that.
I hope it works for you--awesome--and keep us posted!

The only thing I would worry about is growing a sleep debt. If you are going to bed a half hour earlier to compensate getting up earlier then you are good. If you aren't then there's a good chance that it will be counterproductive.
