We live in western NY. Snow and ice predicted for Christmas, which is nice, but - where to exercise? All the gyms and rec centers will be closed all day. Thinking about focusing on core, and not doing cardio at all. Any other suggestions?

Every Body needs a day off once in a while, and Christmas Day seems like a perfect day for that....

I don't have snow so I will probably take a sunrise run before my house wakes up. If I didn't have a full house, I'd do a workout in my room from youtube. I really like HIIT workouts. But it's kind of loud and hard to concentrate - so like I did today, I'll just get up early.

I’m like @WendyB: I try to go out no matter what.
Here I am on Christmas day in full winter gear doing my regular 10 km walk:
Not a lot of snow so far, but some roads are pretty icy:
No Problem: I’m wearing my Salomon winter shoes that have metallic spikes.

I like the reflectors! I think I can find strap on spikes. And I'll hit the consignment shops for an inexpensive parka type jacket. Thanks for the pictures!
