So I have no idea where to post this, my apologies on that... but why have the Force and the Flex not been combined yet? As in a band that monitors stairs and allows you to swim and take showers while wearing it? I know there are other bands out there that do that, but they're not the FitBit, dang it.
My Ultra broke recently, so I came here shopping for a new band... only to find the Force had a voluntary recall and the Flex doesn't do what I need to take up limited space on my arm (watch, band, medical bracelet, etc)

I was wondering the same thing since mine is on its last leg. No pun intended. I'd prefer something wearable 24/7 with those combined features since I forget to wear my Zip often. I would imagine fb is working on a new product to release ASAP so Nike and Jawbone don't take all of us that are looking for this 2.0 product. *Fingers crossed* I'll probably try to wait it out. What are you leaning towards, Krys?

Can you find a Force to buy still or are they no longer sold? I think a small percentage of people had skin irritation so I wouldn't hesitate to try one, if it was the device I preferred.
Why do you want to swim and shower with it? It can't track swimming. Just for the convenience of leaving it on all the time? The Force is water resistant and some people shower with it, though I wouldn't.
Why don't you want a One? Tired of the clip on? It's the most accurate. I had a Classic for years and tried a Flex and didn't like it, so got a One. I like it. It's much tighter than the Classic/Ultra, on clothes.

If it's on my wrist, it's harder to forget. With the Ultra, I could take it off and put it on the charger and forget to clip it back on my belt, or forget to reset it from sleep mode or whatever. Having it on my wrist with the visible display lets me see what's going on. Letting me wear it all the time means I don't have to worry about 'accidently' damaging it. And I don't swim... but if it was swim ready, I don't have to worry about showering or washing my hands or getting caught in the rain.
