Hi there,
I used my fitbit HR for the first time yesterday at the gym. I pushed the button on the side to start my workout and ran on the treadmill. When I went back to check the miles on the workout that fitbit logged it was off by a mile. I can't figure out how to correct the miles on the app or on the website; it won't let me edit this. I don't want to create a new workout and log that because I was to keep the HR data. Has anyone found a solution to make this work?
Thanks,
Anthony

You can use the activity feature to add an activity separately to account for the missing distance. Note though if the Fitbit counted your steps correctly tho it didn't count the distance right, your total step count may be off once you add the activity.

That would be a good solution but then my pace would be still off on the workout. Have you ever used a fitbit on a treadmill? Is it better not to set it to dominant and to set it to non-dominant? I feel like that is where the error compunded over the time I was running.

Hey @altosaxd
I've been trying to figure out the same issue (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge/Discrepancy-Between-Activity-Recorded-and-Activity-History/m-...
Right now I've figured out the following work around:
1. Make sure you have your correct running pace stored in your settings.
2. Use Exercise Mode by tapping the button on the side of your Charge HR.
3. Sync your FitBit.
4. Go to the Web version of the FitBit Dashboard and manually copy the stats your Exercise Mode captured...start time, duration, distance, calories (Copy ALL of these).
5. This will add the exercise to your log with the correct distance and it will add the average pace.
Outside runs work perfect when you use the GPS feature, but this is the only way to accurately get all of the treadmill stats into the log right now. Its manual, but at least Exercise Mode captures what I would easily forget between my run and the time I enter it. Hoping Fitbit changes this though since Running is the #1 exercise activity of Fitbit users and this is way too difficult for something that shouldn't be so hard.

I feel your pain. the treadmill is where I get most of my steps in every day and it is always a mile or more off. I am not that concerned about steps, I am more of a calorie burn crazy, but when I lose challenges by 500-1000 steps, I get all riled up. Not enough to manually log or give up my HR, but enough to have my family eye rolling.
