I started in September 2023 after a heart attack trying to lose weight. I lost 60 pounds in the first 4 months. Then I got stuck for months. I started walking in June when it was really hot. I would walk an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening if I could. If I had things going on or just felt bad that day I still made myself walk at least 30 minutes. Today is day 101 in a row of doing that. Since doing this 101 days ago I've lost another 16 pounds. A little discouraged but at least I got over the wall and started losing again. Not gaining anything back is a big plus too. Walking after dark outside in the carport after dinner seems to help some too. Burn a few calories and then go to bed. Walking seems to help me sleep better.

Hi @BamaDan -- I am curious as whether your walking steak continues. I like the idea that even on off days you did something. Long streaks can be very motivating, but even if you wind up ending it at some point, the next day you can start the streak anew, and you immediately have a new 'best' to aim for.

I made it another couple of weeks after that. 115 is my streak. I'm currently on a new streak. 24 days I think.
