I spend 30 minutes on my stationary bike each day but it doesn't show up as increased activity despite being quite rigorous. In addition, the work on the bike does not register as steps. It ought to do both. Anyone have a similar experience and if so, was a solution found?

I am wondering how to count any stationary bike riding. I can not play tennis or treadmill, not even walk a lot because of a foot injury. I am going to start riding a bike at the gym, but want to count doing with steps. Anyway to do this?

On the fitbit dashboard you will see the word "LOG" on the top menu next to dashboard. When this page displays, select the tab marked "Activities". Towards the bottom of that screen you will see some icons: a walker, runner, swimmer and biker. These are quick select icons (you can search for other activities in the box below or create a custom activity). When you select an icon, it will display start time finish time (or duration), distance (the arrow on the side selects miles, KMs or steps) and optional calories. When completed the counters are placed on your dashboard. Hope this helps
