The subject is the question. Is it better to just make the fitbit a constant?

I'd like to jump into this thread to quote our Specs Page for the ChargeHR:
Water Resistance
Charge HR is sweat, rain and splash proof. However, the device is not swim proof or showerproof. With any wearable device, it’s best for your skin if the band stays dry and clean.
You can get more details on the Charge HR in our product manual.
Let me know if you have any questions, happy stepping!

Welcome to the forums @SunsetRunner
I wear my Flex all the time unless I'm showering or charging it. These devices seem to learn more about our activity level the more we wear them.
For me, the Flex is just part of my arm and it feels funny when it's not on there.
Which FitBit did you get?

yes I'm wearing my Fitbit Flex 24/7 unless i'm in the tub or shower. With arm movements I'm not wanting that counted as steps LOL.
Unfortunately I have a Window Phone and it doesn't sync to that, really wish they'd come up with a Windows Phone app..... we feel left out

I do. I take if off in the shower, when charging (usually at night), or when I am going to a formal event. Besides that, I wear it all the time.

Me, too. I find it very motivating in day-to-day activities, like reminding me to take the steps instead of the elevator.

I keep mine on bras so it's typically only worn when I'm not in pajamas.

I do not take my One with me in the shower, but other than that I use it around the clock. It's always in my pocket or clipped to part of my clothing and at night it's in the wristband to track sleep. I charge my Fitbit when I know I'll be sitting down for a longer period of time (I refuse to go anywhere without my Fitbit... nuts, I know).

Would you wait until it is low in battery or charge it whenever you are not walking? Would that affect the length/duration of the battery life? I too would like to get a car charger but often when it needs charging I am not in my car. I think it is time for me to get off my seat and go for a wee run!!

Wouldn't a car usb port work as a charger?
If your talking about the one on your radio it will work, it might be a slower charge but that is even better for the battery.
I wait until the indecator says low then plug it into the usb port on the car. For me it usually takes 2 car rides to bring it up to full
