The subject is the question. Is it better to just make the fitbit a constant?

I wear my flex 24/7 even in the shower or swimming, it's waterproof. I only take it off to charge.

I wear the Zip all the time, sans bathing. Even though it doesn't track sleep, leaving it on means I don't have to worry about remembering it in the morning!

I too, like most people here wear mine 24/7 except when charging. I use the alarm feature to set alarms for the afternoon to remind me to get up and do something rather than work on the PC all day, and one to remind me I ought to goto bed (a night owl)!!

I wear mine 24/7 unless I'm swimming or in the shower. I do take it off to charge when I'm watching TV.
I fell sort of naked without it.

Agree with pretty much everyone above me! I wear mine twenty-foe-seven! I usually forget I'm wearing it which is completely awesome because when I do remember and take a peek at my FitBit app it's like Christmas morning to see how many steps I've taken. 🙂

I have a Zip and it operates off of a coin battery. I have had it for 3 months and replaced the battery once because I got an email saying it was low. With the new battery in place I still get emails that it is low. Since then I have found the location of the device settings and can see that the battery level changes several times during the day. Sometimes there is just one bar on the battery indicator. Then I will take a good long walk and sync afterward and the charge will be full. Does the sync have anything to do with the charge on the battery? Will there be any indicator on the zip face to tell me. I don't want to replace the battery if it doesn't really need it.

I use a fitbit one that attaches to my waistband (can't stand having anything constantly around my wrist so not interested in the flex) and I wear it only during the day. When I go to bed, I just take it off my waistband and put it on the bedside table. I've never had an issue remembering to put it back on in the morning.
Warning for fitbit one users -- my advice is to NOT switch the One from its waistband holder into the sleep holder. The little rubber waistband holder weakens/loosens up the more you take the fitbit one in and out of it and it WILL loosen to the point where it eventually falls out and you lose the fitbit. This has happened to me twice. But since I stopped taking it out of its holder (except to recharge), I've had the same one for over a year now.

I read from several users that the flex can be ruined if in the shower or it gets wet to often. My first band broke right below where the flashy dots are, about 2 months after getting it as a gift. I am glad it has the 2nd band even though it is smaller and a little tight.

I wear my flex 24/7, also in the shower. Only when charging (when I am sure I am not making any steps) it is allowed to leave my arm......

I have had my flex for almost 2 weeks and have worn it constantly except for charging. I love waking up and seeing the sleep info.

I have had my Flex since 5/17/2013 and wear it 24/7. I have had the Force which I loved but had to return it.
I have logged a total of 14.5 million steps or 7,445 miles and have lost 34-31 lbs. I also like the sleep data. And I log all food intake. Like the Dashboard too!!

I wear my fitbit flex 24/7 except to shower and charge. I take it off in the shower to clean out the inside of the chamber and clean otherwise there is a sweaty man smell coming from it. I also got after market wrist bands in 7 colors and a pack of safty things that go on the bands in a a bunch of colors. I like being able to match my wristbands to my outfits. The bands that came with the fitbit flex lasted about 3 months each before breaking. I did take it off at first when going out and whatnot and found myself not putting it back on and next thing I know I didn't use it for nearly a month so now with the different colored bands I have no problem leaving it on all day.

Like others, I wear mine all the time except when showering or charging (which I'm doing now). It feels very weird when I don't mine on my wrist (I have the Flex). I've had mine for a couple months now and I love it...definitely keeps me on track and keeps me motivated. I guess I'm a little competitive with the steps...I seem to constantly check to see where I am among my other friends who have a Fitbit to see where I rank. If I see that I haven't hit my daily step goal, I try to get a little more walking in somehow to get the steps up.
Occasionally I'll charge my Flex in my car with a regular car USB charger when the battery is low to give it a little boost until I can give it a full charge a day or two later, or just to give it a little boost in general to make sure I have some battery power to last a little bit longer.
