Hi there.
My preferred form of exercise has always been walking. No wonder I bought a fancy pedometer, eh?
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone ever feels....like it's kind of wimpy...? I mean, when I hear people say "I go to the gym!" or "I'm a runner!" I always feel so silly saying "I try to walk 15,000 steps a day". It almost feels like such a firm disconnect that I doubt they even think I'm exercising.
I dunno. Maybe they're right. Hell, maybe it's all just in my head.
Let me know your thoughts!

I feel you need strength training as well. I love to walk and do daily. But it not all about cardio, You need to tone the muscles

@NY2TX Lol ok no need to go on a spastic tatrum about it. Why do you think i said it was MY OPINION? I never said anything about it not being effective for anyone in particular. Just that for me i don't view it as excersize. Just as you say your not the only one who disagress, I'm also not the only one who agrees. If it works then good for you.

Try any of the compression clothing brands. You can get t-shirts, shorts (a bit like bike pants) or long tights. You wear them under your usual running gear. They are designed to fit snugly on the body and 'hold-you-in' i.e. compress the muscles so you can work out for longer and with perhaps less soreness. They can be expensive but shop around and see what's available near you. It may help.

I agree La Tonya. The original contributer doesn't even pose the question 'is walking enough' never mind enough for what?
He does ask whether walking is 'wimpy'. Answer: NO! It isn't. If walking is what you like, it is something you will do. And the exercise you do consistently is the best one for you. Keep going Wonton, every step counts!
