I think my fitbit flex is not correctly tracking my activity. Anyone else have that issue?

My biggest problem is I forget to keep it in my pocket as sometimes during the day I change clothes and or don't take it into the gym. I am not completely sure it is 100% accurate but it is much better than nothing.
I am headed to Colorado for a month of skiing and I am really anxious to see how well it records my activity.
Good Luck/Happy New Year

That's because they aren't steps. Look at the motion.
Now, certain incline, certain resistance, you bouncing right, it would likely count each "step" as a step.
But there-in is your next problem - the formula for getting calorie count from those steps, which determines the active and very active levels - is based on walking and running, which this is of course not either one.
So your calorie count is incorrect even if you could get it to see all the non-"steps" as steps.
Hence the requirement to log all non-step based activity manually, swimming would hopefully stand out, lifting, rowing, biking, elliptical, ect.
