Fitbit Flex and downhill skiing

I've been using my Flex for downhill skiing.  While I am reaching my goal (steps) on a daily basis (early)

afternoon, I'm not sure whether it is capturing actual steps on the slope or arm movement.

When I get home at night, I go to another calorie burner calculator and convert my verticle feet to calories burned and add the additional activity.

I want to make sure I'm not double dipping with my activity.  Can someone comment please.

You notice you have to input start and duration time when manually logging?

That's because you are replacing the calorie count of that time, correctly so, since "steps" skiing isn't really steps walking/running for calorie burn.

There are of course no steps skiing, so whether it's catching the bounce of bumps, the movement of arms, doesn't matter, they aren't really steps and it's probably not even an accurate catch of all bumps or arm pumps.

Sometimes exercise is harder but doesn't have real steps. That's fine, actually usually better.

If you want to take the steps out, log it as driving.

Not sure the result with logging 2 activities over the same time, one removing steps and calories, one putting back calories.

Doesn't hurt to test though, that's why delete is there. Just do it in the same day when correcting.
