Hey guys!
Can anyone give me any tips on how to stay motivated? I know I come from a culture of instant gratification, so it's hard to keep going when I dont see results immediately. I'm incredibly busy with school, so I know that I have to make time to workout as a priority, but because I go so infrequently, sometimes it feels like those workouts don't matter. Any tips would be helpful. Thank you.

I'm mostly motivated for my own health, but I also write a little weekly update to Facebook, and many of my friends and family offer "atta-boys." Knowing that Sunday morning I'll be telling everyone how I did this week keeps me motivated every day. This week I get to brag about finishing my first 5K in 41:24!

In a crazy busy world we really need to set aside "me" time to stay motivated
it's different for everybody, but i try to walk for an hour every day.
once you form the habbit (7+ days straight, your body will want you to keep going)
that hour is sacred --- do anything you want, just walk.
hope this helps!

Hey hey hey @dboo welcome to the Fitbit Community! It is nice to have you here 😄 Those ideas are nice @SebringDon, @abletonfield. Personally, I love watching videos ( I'm on men's physique) of other athletes. Generally once the video is over I go to the gym even if I'm tired ( training 6 days a week). Once at the gym I love to hear good music. I love to read, so I'm always looking for healthy ways to eat, train, etc. But keep in mind this: "You are your own artist, you choose who you want to be".
Hope this helps 🙂

There is no specific technique to stay motivated.
But you might just work harder than normal, think about people in human history who had a very hard life.
And try to work out harder than them 🙂

@dboo Motivtation needs to come from you. plain and simple. You need to want what you need. No one can give it to you. You need to do it for you.

Like @SebringDon, health is my primary concern when working out and eating. I guess it’s more common with older folks like us (younger people tend to be more concerned by the way they look). I’m motivated when I see people a lot younger than me who are in terrible shape 😉
