If you want to gain weight, I would suggest adding in some strength training 2 or 3 times a week and eating a bit more, without gaining fat.

Hi Baciu!
Not sure if Ensure or one of hte other "complete" drinks are available in your country, but they add 330 (roughly) calories and have some good vitamins in them. Try eating foods with higher calorie density - like nuts, cheese, peanut butter, and hummus. Some breads are also higher in calories and nutrition than others.

Hi,
I to really need to gain some weight, I only weigh 43kg and am 164cm. I get so much exercise at work that I find it hard to eat enought to keep up with it. I'm not sure what supplements are avaliable in your country- but in australia Sustagen Hospital formula is great I have 2 a day and have already gained just under 2kg in 2 weeks. I have also increased the amount of strength training I do from none to twice a week. I found the fitbit great becasue it remined me to eat more!
I also have some great recipies for high energy/high protein drinks if you are stuggling for ideas.
Jess
Good Luck

I watched a documentary about sumo wrestlers a while back -- they gain weight by eating a lot of rice (washed down with beer) and then immediately taking a nap, or going to sleep for the night.
I'm not suggesting you do likewise, but if you are looking to gain weight then just do the opposite to 'diet' advice -- eat later in the evening, lots of energy dense foods that don't fill you up. But, unless you think your 'low' weight is a potential cause health problems I'd leave it as it is.....

The complete drink the previous person is talking about is a protein suppliment. Make sure you do not rely solely on that. Make sure you also eat real food.
