Getting the most out of charge hr

Hi

Anyone got any tips for getting the most out of charge HR? What apps do you link to? How can you best use the HR monitor when running to help with weight loss and fitness?

Thanks

I can only comment on how it is with Runkeeper, which uses GPS to actually track your route on a map as you walk/run.  As long as you've accurately measured your stride (walking and running) the distance shown on the FItBit in "exercise mode" will match remarkably with the GPS measurements from runkeeper.  To do this you have to count your steps while walking or running over a known distance.  Convert to steps per foot and enter it into your settings.

The Fitbit app uses GPS to track one's route, too.  I use it  for my runs.   Under the excerise menu at the top right there is a tracking symbol that gives you the option to use GPS.
