Hi I am interested, I have previously managed 90 k in a day, but not managed 100k yet. I am currently I am training for London to Brighton walk (100km) in about 7 weeks time, but that normally ends up been split between 2 days with about 75k a day. Rachel

OK awesome... my average is about 15K steps per day but weekends are more aggressive...

I will invite you and then we can encourage each other for our long WALKS...

Do you know how can I invite you as a friend to fitbit? My next goal will be 60K steps this month... for which I am training on the weekend.  Have my clothing and have my route... will basically split in 10 hrs of 6K steps per hour... have my snacks and special socks too...

Hi

sorry for the slow reply, bit of a busy week, my e mail is beer.mad@hotmail.co.uk you should be able to find me from that.

I managed to walk from Salibury to Winchester yesterday on the rather muddy Clarendon way 66 thousand steps, it was also quite hilly, which did not help, and I managed to get a blister on my heel.

At the moment I am concentrating on the london to brighton walk at the end of May, when that is done, then I will work out how to do the 100 k steps in a day.

I have hit 90k twice over the last 2 years but both times ran out of time to make it to 100k. Currently 20k per day but looking to have another go at 100k

The best I've done is 56,800.

I am trying to earn more daily step badges in 5K increments (i.e. the next one I aim to do is 60K, then do 65K the next time as a new challenge).

There have been a couple of times when my weight reduction has stalled for a week or 2, and I find that doing a 'badge day' helps to kick start the downward trend again.

However, the 55K badge took 8 hrs of walking and the next one to aim for will take nearer 9 hrs. So the time commitment needed is becoming more difficult to fit in. Hopefully I can get to 60K before May is done though.

Let me know how it goes!  I have my eye on more daily step badges this summer after we move and while I'm in-between jobs.  I'll have more time to devote to constant walking to achieve the 35K+ badges.

Ultimately, I want the Ruby Slipper badge (65K) because it's so pretty.  That's a lot of dang walking!

I'm interested in hitting these goals and motivating others trying to do the same. Is there a way for me to add you, or you to add me? Here's my Fitbit profile: https://www.fitbit.com/user/23DGBZ

Cheers

I'm still edging forward slowly in 5K increments. I did my 60K two weekends ago.

The weather forecast for the upcoming weekend looks good - coolish, not much wind - so I am thinking of trying for 65K then.
