Google and Fitbit

I recently bought a versa 4 fitbit watch ... then I found out the the fitbit sense and fitbit versa watches are being phased out with software updates through, maybe, 2025.  The fitbit sense watches and the versa watches are being discontinued ... I very much like fitbit watches ... the versa 4 was what I wanted but I returned it since no further software updates in a few months.  Google assistant is also going away in those models (alexa, I believe will continue to function).  I don't like the big bulky watches google makes.  Seems a bit like a monopoly with fitbit being run into the ground.  I need a watch that can sync with my health plan (fitbit does) but I don't even know what to try now.  Just frustrated that some really good watches are being discontinued.

@Schatz1059 your information about updates for the Sense 2 and Versa 4 ending later in 2025 is not correct.

Google has confirmed that there will be no future generations of the Versa or Sense lines, but the current models (Versa 4 and Sense 2) are still being sold. According to the Legacy Device Policy devices continue to receive updates for at least two years after they are last sold in the Google Store. Those devices are still in the Store currently, so they will be supported for at least two more years.

Even after support ends, the devices continue to work. I'm still wearing a Sense 1 and I know people who are happily using devices even older than that. You don't have to give up on a device just because Google stops supporting it.

Also, since you mentioned the size of the Google Pixel Watch, here is a photo of a Fitbit Sense and a 41-mm Pixel Watch. They are actually very similar in size.

@Schatz1059   Fitbit/Google just announced a firmware update for the Versa 4 (and other current models).  So it is definitely still supported.  When a model is discontinued, certain color combinations will disappear as the remaining stock gets sold.  The Google Store still has all color combinations.
