Yes I did and loved it. I am 61
Just make sure you start with P90 first and not P90X They do progress to harder.
P90 is the best one to start with

Hi Jim,
My husband has used the program and done very well with it. He is a coach with the company and offers free support. If you would like to talk with him, let me know.

My husband and I (60 and 50) both worked out with P90X and found it to be a good workout but I definitely wouldnt classify it as a beginner workout and it does take an hour which is sometimes frankly not possible - as a result we have augmented with beach body 10 minute work out which has similar moves but is of shorter duration for when we dont have the time (you can also do more than one in succession). I do not recommend stopping short on P90X as a beginner unless you do the stretching and cool down after or you will likely be sore and prone to injury. I also dont recommend it if you can only do it 1-2 times per week for the same reason. We are both in pretty good shape but have some vulnerabilities from being younger fearless elite athletes. If this is true for you or you havent worked out in a while, I will share what we found -- We were committed to doing this everyday. The abs portion was hard on both of our backs so I recommend modifying the moves significantly. Try not to overdo it at first. You may feel great that night but will pay later. Use the modified positions until your strength is built up. Monitor your heart rate on the cardio if you are new to this and be sure to hydrate a lot. I think it is a great workout but you can definitely hurt yourself if you dont know how to manage your intensity to your personal situ. The yoga and stretching is great if you tend to be like a "tinman" and I think the kenpo is fun and definitely relieves stress. The abs thing (done after a full workout) was frankly torture and some yoga poses are unachievable for beginners but just do what you can and stop when you are over your head. You just have to know when you are over your head. I personally forgot that I am not 20-something and that I break and tear instead of bounce and stretch but I just turned it down and stopped trying to be competitive and it worked out. Hope this helps. Good luck and keep moving!

When I made the decision to get back to fitness in August, 2012, I ordered P90X thinking it would be right for me. How shocked was I that I found the workouts to be more than I bargained for! I was almost 65, not overweight but starting to get a little "thick" in the middle. Rather than just giving up, I re-thought the idea of fitness for ME. I made the commitment to MY "Common Sense" plan: I started running every day; Sticking with Beachbody, I ordered and completed "Slim in Six" and loved it, then a few months later did "Hip Hop Abs"; I started using Shakeology as a daily replacement meal for either breakfast or lunch; and I cut ALL the crap out of my diet. Over the next nine months I lost about 25 lbs. Now, I maintain, and am just trying to increase strength and muscle mass. Still running, LOVE the fitbit (my husband and I both use it and are very competitive with one another). Am also a Beachbody Coach and love all the Beachbody programs and company support!
