Hi everyone!
Many people are looking for a simple list that will get them through the grocery store quickly, so having a list of essentials is important. This is even more useful when we're just getting started with our Fitness journey.
It's always interesting to see what people include on their shopping lists as a must have, whether your goal is more oriented to lose weight, to maintain it or to gain muscle mass. Feel free to share anything that you regularly include on your shopping list and let us know why you think it's important!

Green leafy veggies, sprouted grains (sprouted grain bread when available), carrots, apples, grapes, fresh ground peanut butter. The apples, carrots, and grapes help keep me away for sugary items this time of year.
I'm only a couple of blocks away from my nearest grocery store so I don't mind going four or five times a week and just buying what I can carry. I usually pick up cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms to add to eggs in the morning, and salads for lunch; and I'll get sweet potatoes and broccoli to roast for dinner.

Great suggestions, @MarciM @Baltoscott! I try to include many of these things on my list as well and it does help me to stay away for the sugary snacks every week. 😁
Best AnswerI live 10 miles from the nearest store so I keep a lot of things on hand. Canned chicken breast is always on hand, I can use for soup, casseroles, salads or just eat out of the can at lunch since I am doing low carb. Eggs, I can use in recipes, for quiche, omelets, . Salad veggies: lettuce, red cabbage, cauliflower, radishes. I keep frozen chicken and turkey breakfast sausages, on hand as well as single serving portions of chicken, pork, beef for quick thaw.

Thank you for sharing your list of essentials, @BASILCHIVES!
Protein and veggies are definitely important! 😁
Best AnswerNice thread! Here are some of my grocery list regulars: coffee - hummus - fresh broccoli - dry roasted, light salt nuts - chicken legs … and Atkins snack bars for when my sweet tooth rises up. They are low carb, single serving and even have some protein to make me feel full.
