Help with Logging TRX Activities

ANSWERED

After reading the discussions, I see anyone also doing TRX has trouble with logging the exercises. My question is: what do you do to log various TRX exercises? I have a sequence of 10 exercises I do regularly 4 times per week and then move into my aerobic walking, which the Flex takes care of. (I'm a 71 yr old male and have had quintuple by-pass surgery, if this would matter.)

According to new studies that gave results in METS, just like Fitbit uses.

Calisthenics moderate effort - 3.8 METS

Vigorous effort - 8 METS

Take your non-moving calorie burn per 5 min / 5 x minutes of exercise x METS = calorie burn to use.

Or see if they have updated the database with these newer entries.

I'd say vigorous, because the use of supporting muscle to do these body weight exercises increased the intensity.

I've been using the TRX at my gym quite a bit lately. I log it as "calisthenics, vigorous effort" because to me the it matches or exceeds the intensity of exercises that are often give an an example of "vigorous calisthenics". The examples I've seen are pushups, squats, pull-ups. Well, I can't do a pull up yet, but the TRX exercises are in a similar intensity categoroy as the list. It also has the same MET value as "circuit training" if you can't find it in the database (though it is there, I may not have listed the entry correctly).
