How many consecutive days of getting your goal??

I am wondering how many consecutive days you have been getting your goals (Step, distance etc) that you are doing? I am 143 consecutive days of getting 10,000 steps a day. I feel that I have it in me to get 150 days then 200 days. How abnout you?

Still going strong on my 10K a day!  Not a single day missed since 12/26/2015. It has become a powerful thing - I will walk in rain/snow/darkness to make it since once I break the streak it will take so long to get back!

Just behind you at 165 days now. Keep it up!

Getting 10k steps is hard for me because I work in an office. So I had my goal at 7k and I can hit that most days. I am upping it now and trying harder. I have gotten 10k steps 3 days in a row now. That is my longest so far.

I was 5 days short of my  2 1/2 year mark in January!  I was sick and passed out at the airport.  5 days latter I was back walking!  I'm up to 84 days now!  I will tell you it was nice to have 5 days off!   I think it's amazing we can stay healthy enough to walk all those days!!

That would probably be a world record! To get 10,000 steps a day without missing 1 for sickness and injury......How far into the 3,650 days are you?  I'll be hitting 700 consecutive days next week.

@Kingant Forgive me for being pedantic, but 10 years would be 3,652 or 3,653, depending on what year you start. There are leap years. Smiley Wink

I'm only at 12 days. Although I give myself all day, I try to get 10,000 in a single walk before breakfast so I don't mess up.

I ve increased my step count to 20k cause 10k is normal and easy for me. Figured it would be smarter to push myself a bit more

Since the second or third day, I've been getting my 10,000 steps in a single walk in the morning.

I'm at 23 days of hitting 10,000 steps. I walk around in my house for 15 minutes before work (around 1500 steps) Easily get around 5,000-6,000 steps at work even though I work in a library (I walk around in circles in the auditorium for about 10 minutes of my lunch if it's not in use for an extra 1000 steps) and then I just walk around my livingroom/kitchen in a loop until I finish it out. Though, usually after chores and so on I only really have to walk around about 15 minutes at the end of the day to hit 10,000. I'm tempted to raise my goal, but, I think I will be happier to keep getting 10K for a very long time then to set a higher goal and fail at it. I think I will do 1 day goal challenges to aim higher.

I envy the people who have been meeting goal for years. I should have just sprung for a fitbit years ago. I was using a cheap pedometer, but, then nobody believed my step counts and there's no community of other pedometer users.

@JenniferinFL,

We can't change the past as far as owning a Fitbit goes. I started with a cheap Sportline pedometer that costs $4.97 at WalMart. The step count was accurate compared to the Zip. The advantage to the Fitbits is automatic logging.

I like the 10,000 step goal because it has a scientific basis in some reliable studies. The reason I don't set it higher is this goal is for my worst day, not my average. Someday, I'll be sick, injured or demotivated, and those are the days the streak will help me get the steps.

Streaking Success

In 15 days of streaking, I lost 4.3 pounds. I averaged about 18,000 steps a day and 3,000 calories burned on the Charge 2. My BMR is about 1,640 calories. Based on a 3,500 calorie deficit per pound lost, my actual deficit was 1,003 calories per day. I didn't do any calorie counting. I was just more careful about eating too much.

My thought exactly. My work place did a step challenge and I did 8 consecutive weeks meeting my step goal during the challenge. Never missing a day made me get creative: getting off the metro a stop earlier and walking the rest of the way, taking the long way in route to a meeting, always taking the stairs, and even sprinting on the treadmill when realizing at 11:51pm that I was 1000 steps short (btw real walking gives me more steps per minute than the treadmill). Working that hard to get it done every day you want a permanent record of your heroic efforts. We really need a streak counter. I found this thread when looking for how to track consecutive days of step goal met.

I hit 1 straight year back in August as a personal challenge to myself.  I have kept it going.  So, if my math is correct, yesterday was day 545 in a row.  One step at a time!

Once you get a decent streak going, its hard to stop!  I'll hit my 1,000 day streak (hopefully) on Feb 22nd.

Congratulations Kingant!  I am working toward 1000 days and just past 333.  I too wish fitbit would keep track of this.

I am very excited ...  I'm at day 354 today with 12500 or more (actually averaging around 15000). Only 11 more days to reach my goal of 1 year😀
