I am pretty shocked how long I am stationary during the day. How long are you stationary?

About 10 hours a day I sit behind a desk.

I'm in front of my PC most of the day. At least 8-9 hours a day.
I rarely get up, and so my after work exercise is it for me.

I shoot for no more than 4 in a stretch but some days its not possible. I have alarms set every hour on my fitbit to alert me to get up and at least do the 250 per hour. My best was 11/12 hours moved. My worst was 4/12 moved. Most of the time I fall 8/12. Prior to the 250 per hour metric I would go 6, 7 hours with minimal steps

I make sure I get up every hour and move. Since they now have this new tile to move 250 steps pers hour I make sure I do. So I would have to say 3 at night watching TV

Last night I watched a good movie that went until midnight, and as soon as the movie went off I wandered off to bed. This morning after I got up, I synced the HR to the app. When I checked on the Sleep, it said I went to sleep at 11:09pm. Apparently I was so sedentary the last hour of that movie that the tracker thought I had gone to bed...

Happens to me when I'm watching sports on TV. I have to remember to get up during commerical breaks (and when hockey season starts up, during the intermissions) and at least walk around. Tonight I was just tired after my workout.

I set the counter to 14 hours (7am-9pm) and looking back 7 days I range from 11-14 hours with an average between 12 and 13. This is pretty good considering the last two days I didn't get up until after 9am. Depending on how work is going though I don't always have as much control about moving around.

I learned that my Fitbit counts my arm swings as steps whenever I watch the football game and I'm yelling at the TV. 🙂
