We normally have Fitbit track what it is good at tracking, walking and running. If your use a Heart Rate Monitor and running/walking stairs, hiking, gradients etc and the calorie count is high on the HRM, and you are happy with your Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) we would do a manual activity "calories only" and overwrite the calorie count, and the steps and floors remain. You can edit this record.

If your other activities are HiiT, weights, rowing and cycling etc it is best  to log a manual activity which again will overwrite the calories and any steps or stairs will remain intact.  You will need a bit of guessing to find the equivalent manual activity by typing into the search box. A single word is best. But once you have found the manual record you can add it to your customised records by clicking the Star on the created manual record.

Ask again if this is not clear.
