Iconic Calorie Counter off?

Hey friends - Just received my Iconic in the mail yesterday, and am noticing that the calorie counter is super high compared to my Charge 2.

At 6:30 am, I had just woken up, walked 22 steps and it said I had burned 350+ calories? And it's said I've burned 600+ already at 9:30am.

Does it need to be reset?

That doesn't sound particularly high to me. Remember that includes your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories you are always burning just by being alive.

See How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned?

If 350+ calories in 6.5 hours sleep is much higher than your Charge 2 was giving, I think the better question might be why was your Charge 2 giving such low calorie burn.

But since you didn't tell us what your Charge 2 numbers were, we cannot actually compare.

Check your physical data are entered correctly: weight, age, height.

I think you're right. I guess my charge 2 only started counting calories when I was moving in the morning. It didn't record calories during my sleep... only when I started walking. I guess that's the difference.

Thanks for your feedback.

Your Charge 2 should have been counting those calories too just like the Ionic.

Assuming you kept the same account, you can look back and see if the Charge 2 was registering calories overnight.  But maybe now you're not concerned with what was happening in the past.
