Interval Training - Different Types of Exercises Displayed?

Hi there!

I want to get a FitBit for my fiance for Christmas, and am torn on which one, but there is one specific feature he's looking for that I'm not sure is possible on any model.

He does interval workout circuits, where he jumps back and forth between different body weight exercises and rest (e.g. burpees, crunches, etc). Currently, he has the circuit saved as a note on his phone, and has to stop in between to remind himself what exercise comes next, as he changes the circuit up fairly often.

Is there some way to program an interval circuit into a FitBit (or a third party app) that would display which exercise is up next, rather than just saying "Move" or "Rest"? I haven't had any luck finding this so far, so I'm pretty sure it's a long shot, but any suggestions would be appreciated 🙂

Thanks!

Get him a grease or chalk board to hang up in his workout room.  Sometimes old school is the best school

I agree with @Mukluk4

I know of nothing that will let you program into what your work out is. Only Time for each set.

Apps

Devices

Now Fitbit Coach does have some interval training in it but it might not be what he is looking for. As it is on the Phone not the device itself

I really think this is something he needs to research and pick what he needs.

I would be all about the old school answer, but until we actually have a workout room, I doubt the gym would appreciate him setting up a chalk board 😉 Thanks for the links in the meantime!

I take my iPad with me. It has my workout pre scripted. First thing I do is set the floor with weights I need for each interval then I just check my table during each rest break. No one complains about me taking up floor space. There are actually a few who do the same. The trainers always do it lol
