I forgot to wear my fit bit all morning. I know approx how many steps I took based on what I normally do during the same class at they gym and the elliptical counts my steps as well. Also, is there a way to log steps translated from a higher cardio workout than just walking for same amount of time?

Yes, you would want to log it as a "walking" activity with the estimated steps. If you have a period of higher intensity, I would log it as an alternative type such as aerobic exercise. You can't enter steps for the event, but it will capture calories burned. So in the end it all depends if you are more worried about acurate calories or steps as to how you enter things.
