Can anyone recommend what they feel are the best leggings for running? I'm from New England, so suggestions for any and all weather types are welcome! 🙂

For winter (I live in Finland, so it can be pretty cold), I like Nike Dri-Fit Thermal Pant. (not sure if there’s a version for ladies). For warmer times of the year, pretty much anything will do. I like to have a small pocket with zip on the back that can accommodate key/credit card/cash.

I'm a simple bloke with simple needs!
If the weather is warm enough (>5C), I wear my shorts.
If the weather isn't warm enough (<5C), I wear my Ron Hill Tracksters.
You can't beat a classic!

For cold weather, I highly recommend ski tights (that's what we call them anyway). I have an old pair from Craft that have double layers on the front. Good protection from wind and most water. Mine are a strange fit though.
Last year I also picked up a pair of men's Nike running tights. Never in a million years would I think men's leg wear would fit my very unmanly hips (I'm a woman), but I decided to try them on and fell in love. They're like second skin and the fact that they're reflective is great for winter. The material is quite thin though, so unfit for cold, wet and windy days.
My best tip is to go to a store, feel the materials and try on different tights to find something that fits you and your body (especially if you're a woman). If you don't like what you're trying on, move along. When you find something you like, take a walk around, do some lunges and jumping jacks.
I absolutely hate shopping, but I get quite excited when I find a pair of pants (especially tights) that don't try to sneak their way down my legs after walking a few steps and jumping up and down.

Yes.. there is one for women. I use Nike Dri-Fit wind breaker pant and along with a merino wool base layer. I live in Eastern Canada where the winter is pretty harsh sometimes. Pretty much, you have to layer yourself properly if you are running in extreme cold. Also I have North Face wind breaker pant. (Sometimes, it would be -35 with windchill) Legging for running is ok as long as it is quick dry material so that it would wick away the sweat. Summer, I wear capris or shorts.
